Description

Jones Center is leading a transformative initiative for Northwest Arkansas: creating a regional volunteer center that connects residents to meaningful service opportunities and equips nonprofits with the tools to thrive. This center will become a cornerstone of civic life, mobilizing volunteers, fostering collaboration, and building community resilience for generations to come.

The Regional Volunteer Center Planning Director will spearhead the design and development of Northwest Arkansas’ first volunteer center, funded by a 12-month, $1.2 million grant from Walmart to the Jones Center. The regional volunteer center planning office will operate as a strategic program of Jones Center, whose mission, facilities, and trusted community relationships make it an ideal home for a regional volunteer infrastructure that connects people, organizations, and resources to create lasting community impact.

This role will work closely with Jones Center, Walmart, and consultants to spearhead strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and financial sustainability efforts, ensuring the regional volunteer center launches successfully in 2027 and becomes a model for volunteerism nationwide.

This is more than a job; it’s an opportunity to shape the future of Northwest Arkansas. By leading this initiative, this role will help create a culture of volunteerism that strengthens nonprofits, connects communities, and builds resilience for generations to come.
