Description

Our client is a global service provider with multiple offices around the world. We are currently seeking a seasoned finance leader to head their regional finance team. In this role, you will report directly to the Regional CFO and serve as a close business partner.

Regional Financial Controller (MNC)

Key Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities

  • Report to Chief Financial Officer, Asia and work closely with Senior Management team for business strategy and development plan
  • Lead a mid-sized team and oversee operational accounting, financial and management reporting functions for all entities across Asia region
  • Prepare financial analysis for performance evaluation, contract negotiations and support business decisions.
  • Work closely with Corporate Head Office for financial reporting, treasury and budget related matters
  • Lead and support a list of improvement initiatives for the Asia region to improve work process, reporting, analysis and treasury management
  • Assist and support on Investor relations and corporate projects
  • Liaise with external parties such as trade associations, bankers, lawyers, auditors, etc
  • Involve in ad hoc projects as required

Leadership Responsibilities

  • This position may have direct and/or indirect reports which includes responsibility for overall performance management, including hiring, training, coaching, feedback, development, etc.
  • Models the way for employees and sets a positive example by demonstrating our core values.
  • Provides ongoing feedback and supports team member growth by working with employees and encouraging growth plans.
  • Drives employee engagement. Facilitates regular and ongoing conversations about employee engagement and takes action to improve team and organizational culture

Qualification & Requirements

  • University graduate with a major in Finance and Accounting
  • CPA qualification is essential
  • Minimum of 10 years of well-rounded finance experience with a Big 4-trained background.
  • Experience working in a multinational corporation (MNC)
  • Solid track record in managing a sizable accounting team and shared service centers.
  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Capable of thinking on their feet and demonstrating the ability to make sound decisions based on factual analysis; experienced in managing controls and compliance matters.
  • Able to effectively engage, manage, and influence senior management and peers across the affiliate and corporate levels
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for business
  • Fluency in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin is essential
