Description

We are seeking a strategic HR leader to transform our shared services—HRIS, payroll, benefits, learning and development, and compliance. You will align People Services with COVE’s mission, elevate the employee experience, and support our rapid growth trajectory.

People Services Director

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Formulate and implement the strategic vision for People Services, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals.
  • HRIS Strategy & Management: Oversee the strategic management and enhancement of the HR Information System (HRIS). Ensure effective integration, data accuracy, and utilization of HR technology to support organizational objectives.
  • Payroll Oversight: Direct the payroll function to ensure accurate and timely processing, compliance with tax regulations, and alignment with financial planning. Drive process improvements and strategic initiatives in payroll management.
  • Benefits Administration: Lead the development and management of employee benefits programs, including health, wellness, and retirement plans. Ensure benefits administration is compliant with regulations and supports employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Learning and Development (L&D) Strategy: Collaborate with the Learning and Development team to design and implement strategic L&D programs that support employee growth and align with organizational objectives. Oversee the effectiveness and efficiency of learning initiatives.
  • HR Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure comprehensive compliance with employment laws and regulations. Develop and enforce policies and procedures to mitigate risks and address compliance issues.
  • Process Improvement & Innovation: Drive the continuous improvement of HR processes across HRIS, payroll, benefits, L&D, and compliance. Implement best practices, leverage technology, and lead innovation to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Data Analytics & Reporting: Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of HR data, including headcount, payroll, benefits utilization, and training metrics. Use data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making and demonstrate the impact of People services.
  • Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors providing HR services and technology. Ensure service quality and cost-effectiveness. Engage with senior stakeholders to ensure alignment of People Services with organizational priorities.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the People Services team. Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience leading shared HR services in a multi-entity organization
  • Deep expertise in HRIS platforms, payroll systems, benefits administration, learning & development, and compliance
  • Strategic thinker with strong change management and project leadership skills
  • Excellent communicator, collaborator, and analytical thinker, with experience influencing senior stakeholders
  • Proven track record of implementing innovative HR technologies and process improvements
