People Operations & Payroll Lead – Shared Services

Key Responsibilities

In this leadership role, you will oversee the full spectrum of People Operations, Payroll, and People Data, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational resilience across the organisation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving a digitally enabled People Operations strategy covering people data, benefits, payroll etc
  • Developing and coaching People Operations team to deliver service excellence and resolve escalations
  • Acting as custodian of all employee records and organisational structures to support Finance, HR, and workforce planning
  • Managing external payroll and benefits vendors to ensure SLA performance, compliance, and data privacy standards
  • Leading process optimisation and automation initiatives
  • Overseeing dashboards, reconciliations, and variance analysis to improve decision‑making

 

Qualification & Requirements

  • A degree in Human Resources, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10-13 years of HR operations experience with strong expertise in payroll, benefits, and people data governance
  • At least 5 years leading teams in regulated or high‑volume environments
  • Strong vendor management capability, including SLA management and compliance oversight
  • Experience driving process improvement, digital enablement, and HR systems optimisation (e.g., SuccessFactors, Workday)
  • Familiarity with employment laws in Singapore and Malaysia
