Description

As Operations Director, you will be responsible for leading the Infrastructure, Technology & Operations teams both directly and indirectly across the APAC Global Operations Centre in Kuala Lumpur. This team operates 24X7 and perform a critical role in all aspects of running The Access Groups cloud and infrastructure platforms globally.

This role will report directly to the APAC Regional Technology Director and will form part of the extended leadership team of the Global Technology Services Chief Technology Officer. You will work closely with teams in APAC, EMEA and the US on all aspects of running the platform, operations and on-boarding new products and services into run operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team and Performance Development: Responsible for managing team performance and career development. Mentoring all team members to ensure a well-rounded, world-class organization that is operating to execute the IT&O, GTS and overall Access strategy.
  • Operations Management: Ensure that all aspects of the 24X7 operation are working effectively and that all Divisions across Access are receiving world class service delivery.
  • Operational Excellence: Upholding and driving operational excellence globally. Implementing best practices with a customer-focused approach. Identifying and owning local and global initiatives to optimize operational teams.
  • Recruiting and Hiring: Contributing to recruitment efforts.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Proven experience in people and operations management within a fast-paced, mission critical IT environment working with global teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience at the direct level or above at a global organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) framework and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and develop effective solutions.
  • Familiarity with IT operations and platform components (e.g.,Windows Server, SQL Server, Deployment Automation, Citrix, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure, Networking, Data Centres and Capacity Management, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Hashi, CloudFlare and FinOps.
