Description

The North America HRIS Director leads the company’s Human Resources Information Systems function and team and develops the strategic direction and design of its HRIS practices and technology in North America.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute and lead a comprehensive best-in-class North American HRIS strategy aligned with the company’s business and human resources objectives that encompasses the nuances from both Canada and the USA.
  • Evaluate current HRIS technology and practices, make recommendations for improvements, including alternative technology and functionality, and implement as determined
  • Collaborate with HR leadership and other stakeholders to identify and successfully fulfill their HR technology needs.
  • Ensure data integrity; all relevant data is accurately captured, secured, appropriately accessible, and maintained in accordance with all applicable company and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the shared service team and work with IT to ensure service levels are met.
  • Together with IT leadership, manage HR technology vendor relationships, ensuring vendor commitments are met for both countries
  • Develop reporting capabilities, providing data analytics and metrics to support decisions.
  • Identify opportunities for increased automation and AI use.
  • Develop and manage data audit processes.

Qualification & Requirements

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 15 years IT experience and at least five years working in HRIS in a large, complex, multinational organization.
  • Extensive knowledge of HRIS technology and practices, understanding what best-in-class is, and how to evaluate and implement the best technology and practices based on organizational needs and capabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple complex, large-scale HR systems, and leading large-scale projects.
  • Experience communicating technical information to non-subject matter experts in an easily understandable way.
  • Experience with SAP and SuccessFactors highly preferred.
  • Travel Requirements: Up to 15- 25%, including international
