We have a great opportunity for a Marketing Services Director to join our team in the Woking office.

This is a fantastic opportunity to come in and head up a brand new Marketing Services Department within our Outsourced Business Services area.

Marketing Services Director

Key Responsibilities

Development of new Service line offering

  • Lead the design, structure, scope, and offering for a New Marketing Services team.
  • Create tools, processes, and delivery standards for consistent, scalable client engagement.
  • Establish the brand, positioning, and go-to-market approach for the service line.
  • Development of internal and external resourcing strategy to meet client requirements and support growth plans.

Commercial & Operational Oversight

  • Set and manage service line budgets, revenue targets, and profitability goals.
  • Oversee pricing strategy, proposal development, and service packaging.
  • Monitor service performance and report on KPIs, ROI, and client retention metrics.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to grow the client base through cross-selling and new business development.

Client Strategy & Delivery

  • Lead strategic marketing discussions with clients to understand their business objectives and marketing needs.
  • Develop and execute tailored marketing strategies, particularly for international businesses entering the UK market.
  • Provide hands-on support for localised marketing activity, including trade show participation, targeted campaigns, and UK brand positioning.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality, results-driven marketing solutions.

Internal Collaboration & Integration

  • Work closely with OBS client teams, accountants, HR services and advisors to offer a seamless outsourced solution.
  • Collaborate with other OBS service line leads.
  • Collaborate with the firm’s internal marketing and business development teams to align messaging and share insights.
  • Act as a thought leader internally, educating OBS colleagues on marketing trends and opportunities that can benefit clients.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Stay ahead of industry trends, marketing innovations, and emerging tools.
  • Continuously improve the service offering through client feedback and market research.
  • Champion a culture of creativity, results, and client-centric thinking within the team

Qualification & Requirements

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • We’re seeking a dynamic senior marketing professional with at least 8–10 years of experience, ideally in professional services, B2B, or consulting environments.
  • The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, with professional qualifications such as CIM or IDM highly desirable.
  • A postgraduate degree like an MBA or MSc in Marketing/Strategy is a plus.
  • This role demands a strategic thinker with hands-on execution skills, capable of leading marketing strategies for clients—especially within outsourced or agency models—and supporting international firms expanding into the UK.
  • Experience in digital campaigns, brand development, and event marketing is essential, alongside deep knowledge of UK market trends and regional best practices.
  • We value exceptional client-facing skills, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to work with C-level stakeholders.
  • The right candidate will demonstrate a successful track record in building or scaling marketing teams, managing budgets, and using CRM tools such as HubSpot or Salesforce.
  • Excellent communication, a collaborative leadership style, and adaptability in fast-paced environments are key.
  • Previous experience working with global firms, especially in flexible or travel-intensive roles, is advantageous, as the position may involve visits to other offices and client-related travel.
