Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Managing Director to lead our MHPI shared services office in Pune, India. The Managing Director will oversee a team of approximately 50 matrixed professionals, providing dedicated support to our Business Unit (BU) operating divisions. This role requires a strong onsite leadership presence to ensure the effective management and coordination of shared services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the MHPI shared services office in Pune, India.
- Lead the development of a long-range plan (LRP) charting the strategic growth and development plans for the organization.
- Oversee the daily operations and performance of the shared services team, ensuring high-quality service delivery to BU operating divisions.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development among team members.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency and effectiveness of shared services.
- Liaise with US headquarters to align shared services activities with overall business objectives and goals.
- Manage and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Represent the MHPI shared services office in India at internal and external meetings, building strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Oversee HR leadership and ensure stakeholder engagement and satisfaction to help MHPI grow and scale to support the business.
- Provide recruitment support, owning the full cycle recruitment and placement of shared service resources.
- Navigate the complexities of a matrixed environment, where resources report into BU divisions, ensuring effective coordination and communication.
- Liaise with other Masco organizations in India, driving collaboration, best-practice sharing, and leverage opportunities.
Qualification & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a shared services or similar environment.
- Strong understanding of shared service models and matrixed team structures.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Experience in liaising with international teams and stakeholders.
- Bilingual proficiency with strong English as a requirement.
