Description

DBS is seeking a talented leader for our Transformation team. Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Transformation, the DBS Transformation Manager is responsible for leading the implementation of transformation and transition initiatives and supporting optimization of finance processes and technologies. The role is primarily responsible for collaborating with stakeholders across Dover to drive optimization, efficiency, effectiveness, and cost reduction in finance and accounting processes to improve business results and deliver world-class, customer-focused services to Dover’s Operating Companies (OpCos). The role will also continue Dover’s journey of transitioning finance activities from OpCos to DBS sites, which may include expanding the DBS service catalogue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee successful implementation of transformation and transition initiatives and PMO optimization projects by the Transformation team primarily focused on the Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, and Purchase-to-Pay processes
  • Oversee successful implementation of roadmap by the Transformation team and report progress to leadership, including benefits realized and escalation of project risks
  • Lead or support transformation, optimization and transition projects, including the accurate and timely design, build, execution, quality assurance and delivery of the project or transition
  • Manage the global Transformation team. Achieve a highly effective, efficient, and engaged team culture and ensure professional development of key resources
  • Project Management: Implement project management best practices, templates, etc., monitor dependencies across multiple interrelated projects, gather and report consolidated project status and financial information to leadership, identify project risks and work with the stakeholders to mitigate while communicating with leadership
  • Relationship building: Engage with key stakeholder groups across Dover as a key business partner
  • Lead change management and communication efforts for projects
  • Conceive and implement improvement opportunities which reduce costs and improve process value. Consistently promote integration of best practices and leading trends

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Financial Information Systems
  • 10+ years accounting, auditing, and/or financial analysis experience
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher)
  • Global shared service center experience
  • Strong project management skills, including managing multiple deliverables simultaneously and demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and accomplish results
  • Strong communication skills, including experience working with a highly decentralized matrix organization and influencing others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices and procedures
  • Prior experience successfully leading transformation and transition projects within a global shared service environment
  • Self-directed, positive, strong work ethic, linked to execution, and department vision
  • Builds and manages collaborative relationships
  • Demonstrates strong understanding of finance concepts, accounting processes, and financial systems knowledge
  • Strong analytical skills: able to link financial results to operational performance drivers – and use data to drive decisions and strategic direction
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • High level of customer focus
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products

Highly Preferred

  • Working knowledge of the following technologies: OneStream, High Radius, Perceptive, Oracle, Power BI
  • Manufacturing industry experience
