Description
In this leadership role overseeing SAP operations within shared services, you’ll guide both technical and functional teams, with a focus on core areas such as Order to Cash (OTC), Procure to Pay (PTP), Financial Accounting & Controlling (FICO), and ABAP development. This position involves a mix of strategic oversight and hands-on involvement to ensure systems meet both technical and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise cross-functional SAP teams, fostering high performance and collaboration across OTC, PTP, FICO, and ABAP functions.
- Act as a subject matter expert, particularly in areas related to PTP and/or OTC.
- Coach and develop team members to build internal expertise and professional capability.
- Lead the design and configuration of SAP systems by interpreting business requirements into effective solutions.
- Oversee enhancement initiatives and SAP-related projects to ensure milestones, budgets, and quality benchmarks are achieved.
- Serve as a liaison between business users and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on deliverables.
- Partner with IT and other departments to maintain integration between SAP and boundary applications supporting shared services.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement and drive optimization efforts within the SAP ecosystem.
- Ensure system reliability, security, compliance, and effective issue resolution.
- Support users by responding to both technical and functional queries and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
Qualification & Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar field is required; a Master’s is preferred.
- 8+ years of hands-on SAP experience across modules such as FICO, OTC, and/or PTP.
- At least 4 years in a leadership role managing SAP teams or equivalent functions.
- Experience completing at least one full lifecycle implementation in SAP FICO, OTC, and/or PTP.
- Strong command of the systems development and project delivery lifecycle, including issue and change management processes.
- Background in agile methodologies and familiarity with tools used in agile project execution.
- Experience with IT service management platforms like ServiceNow.
- Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA across both business and technical dimensions.
- Ability to analyze and synthesize complex data and workflows.
- Skilled in aligning cross-functional stakeholders around support, maintenance, and system strategy.
- Strong interpersonal communication and documentation skills.
- Comfortable balancing multiple priorities while delivering high-quality results.
