Description

Avalara Professional Services team is looking an experienced Manager to manage one to multiple lines of business. The Manager will manage teams in India while working with partners in both the United States and India. This is an excellent opportunity for you to join an group of professionals dedicated to exceeding customer expectations in the management of complex projects and delivery of sales and use tax automation services. Person will be reporting to Director, Professional Services. This is Pune based role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage operations performance with a laser focus on Turn Around Time & Quality.
  • Responsible for the planning, direction, execution, control, and completion of assigned projects.
  • Develop process improvement strategy and processes to aid and improve performance
  • Monitor client projects to keep projects moving forward.
  • Use expertise to elicit requirements and document related business processes, propose/understand best practices for sales and use tax automation plans.
  • Manage relationships with all partners.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Overall experience of 12 – 16 years, who’s worked in Shared services model. Have experience managing teams and engaging with Partners outside India. 5 years’ experience as a people manager with examples of people development, morale building, and process migration from onshore (building teams, building processes).
  • Independently implement plans along on the ownership and be able to anticipate operational exigencies and plan accordingly.
  • Organize, classify data in a consumable format and draw logical conclusions from the data and identify the options/solutions to address the problems.
  • Set up and leading the way to collaborate with internal / external partners towards strategic goals and being able to handle conflict and facilitate resolution.
  • Teamwork-oriented with a focus on customer satisfaction and business development.
  • Have managed leaders and multiple teams
  • Graduate (10+2+3) from Commerce or Accounts background.
  • Qualification: MBA.
  • Experience with sales tax compliance
  • Worked in a leadership role managing multiple functional partners (internal and external).
  • Experience managing team
