Description

The Manager of Shared Services is responsible for overseeing and optimising shared services functions across the organisation. This role carries P&L accountability and is tasked with managing people, processes, and performance to deliver exceptional results. The position requires close collaboration with stakeholders across the APAC region and partnership with the HR team to drive organizational objectives, foster a high-performance culture, and ensure the delivery of innovative and efficient support services.

This role will be based in One Ayala, Makati, Philippines.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Oversee and manage the overall operations of the Shared Services Center in Manila, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and cost reduction.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Financial Management

  • Own the P&L for the shared services function.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
  • Monitor and control costs to ensure financial performance.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee workforce planning, talent development, and engagement in collaboration with the HR team.
  • Ensure processes are optimized, compliant, and aligned with service quality and performance standards.

Service Delivery

  • Establish, manage, and monitor SLAs and oversee daily operations to ensure the timely and effective delivery of services.
  • Monitor objectives and key results (OKRs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of shared services.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure strong relationships with both captive (internal) and external clients to maintain trust and satisfaction.
  • Champion the adoption of innovative technologies and automation to streamline processes and reduce costs.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive advantage.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the APAC region to align service delivery with regional objectives.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for business partners, ensuring the alignment of expectations and operational priorities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the HR team, to address workforce-related initiatives and strategic planning.

Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and regulatory changes.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with shared services operations.
  • Develop and implement robust risk management processes.

Qualification & Requirements

Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

  • 8-10 years of experience in managing shared services or equivalent operations, with a track record of P&L responsibility.
  • Proven experience working with APAC regional stakeholders and cross-functional teams, including HR.
  • Strong background in process improvement, automation, and innovation.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a focus on coaching and mentoring.
  • Excellent financial acumen and experience managing budgets and profitability.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills, particularly in a regional or multinational context.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to data-driven decision-making.
  • Proficiency in managing complex processes and fostering continuous improvement.
