Are you ready to lead and innovate in a strategic role? We are seeking an exceptional Head of Legal Services to spearhead our centralized legal and shared services function at the Bank. This role is pivotal in driving a robust and efficient legal services operation leveraging technology, operational excellence, and our global workforce. Join us to make a significant impact on the bank and our customers while propelling your career to new heights.

In this role, you will co create and drive the execution of the legal and shared services strategy in partnership with our key stakeholders. Deliver effective change management and communications across division and the Bank, regarding legal and shared services.

Manage stakeholder relationships with our bankers and the operational teams servicing them (ie, lending services, etc). And importantly, drive an operating rhythm which encourages continual improvement that strives to be faster, simpler and customer obsessed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic execution to optimise outcomes for the bank and customers.
  • Partner with stakeholders to deliver effective change management and communications.
  • Promote continual improvement to be faster, simpler, and customer-focused.
  • Lead the design and execution of legal and shared services strategy.
  • Orchestrate operational activities for superior outcomes.
  • Ensure teams are clear, capable, and motivated.
  • Monitor and report key metrics to stakeholders.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in professional services, financial or wealth services, large-scale operations, process efficiency, change management, relationship management, and customer strategy and execution.
  • Proven track record of delivering consistent results in a large, complex business with challenging stakeholders.
  • Experience in driving change efforts to improve efficiency in large teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a high-performing, engaged, and diverse team.
  • Experience in coaching and developing junior talent.
  • Leadership skills in creating a high-performing team, providing clear messaging, developing team capabilities, and delivering impact with pace.
  • Capability to ensure compliance with relevant laws in legal services.
