Manager | GBS Strategy & Ops | Delhi | Finance Transformation

Key Responsibilities

GBS Strategy & Operating Model Design

  • Support and co-lead GBS strategy and business case development
  • Develop detailed value cases covering cost, productivity, talent, and scalability
  • Support location assessments, workforce planning, and feasibility analysis

Target Operating Model & Transition Delivery

  • Design key components of GBS Target Operating Models (governance, service scope, sourcing)
  • Lead transition workstreams across Finance, HR, Procurement, IT, Analytics, and Digital
  • Manage knowledge transfer, stabilization, and service performance tracking

Digital & Analytics Enablement

  • Apply analytics, process mining, and automation concepts within GBS and Outsourcing programs
  • Work with digital and AI teams to embed technology into delivery models

Stakeholder & Team Leadership

  • Manage client stakeholders at senior manager / director level
  • Lead and drive Steering Comittee and Governance meetings.
  • Lead project teams (5–15 members), ensuring quality, timelines, and outcomes
  • Coordinate with Deloitte teams across functions and geographie

Practice Development

  • Contribute to RFPs, solutioning, and proposal development
  • Support IP creation, thought leadership, and capability building

Note : This role involves extensive domestic and international travel.

Qualification & Requirements

  • 9–11 years of consulting or transformation experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from Tier 1 college/ Chartered Accountant; Masters/ MBA preferred
  • Strong experience in GBS/ shared services/ outsourcing strategy, design, and transition management
  • Exposure to large scale, multi-functional transformation programs
  • Experience managing teams and client workstreams
  • Ability to work effectively across functions, geographies, and internal teams
  • Proficient user of Microsoft suite (advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
  • Experience in executing technology led transformation programs
  • Ability to develop point of views and support in thought leadership
  • Expertise in one or more shared services functions such as Finance, HR, Procurement, IT operations/ processes
  • Exposure to vendor management strategy and operations is a plus
  • Ability to act as a subject matter expert in relevant areas – solutions/ functions/ sectors
  • Possessed leadership qualities and the ability to mentor consultants and junior team members
  • Exposure to technologies such AWS, Azure, Data Analytics, Automation and Engineering tools is a plus
