Description
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add Manager – Indirect Procurement in Chennai, India.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle a team of 8+ Buyers.
- Work on Purchase Order management with buyers, provide assistance in resolving Accounts Payable, warehouse and
- Return To Vendor challenges, follow-up to ensure PO’s are placed on time, there are no past due orders, work on action items.
- Ensure there are no Production line down situations
- Ensure adherence to targets set for all Process Metrics Perform Quarterly / Annual performance appraisals for the team members.
- Ensure timely generation, reporting and expertise in dashboards reviews.
- Coach and Mentor the team and guide them towards effective discharge of functions.
- Handle escalations if any, and escalate matters requiring the senior management’s attention on a timely basis and follow the escalation matrix.
- Train new and existing team members on an ongoing basis on relevant tools and process.
- Perform root cause analysis to expedite the resolution of service issues.
- Identify, recommend, and implement operational efficiencies to drive continuous improvement in the execution of Indirect Procurement processes
- Prepare Customized reports for analyzing and incorporating improvements in processes Drive
- Process improvements and have succession plan in place for all critical resources
- Be Back-up to Operational Regional Leaders
- Ensure detailed process documentation in place for training new employees coming onboard
- Schedule regular calls with Suppliers and drive supplier performance improvement
- Ensure ZERO non-compliance during Statutory audits and Drive voice of partner and voice of employee improvement themes in alignment with Customer and Employees feedback with appropriate action plans.
- Align and Drive productivity targets for the Team
- Coordinate with GBS Management for Internal Site Leadership and ELT visits.
- Give presentations to the Top Management w.r.t the Business and drive QBR reviews with Sites Drive Standardization of reports and processes across Teams Consolidated, Automate and Eliminate reports and processes.
- Ensure participation in BCP drill and work on continues improvement of BCP plan Drive employee engagement and communication programs (quarterly one to one meetings with each employees, skip level meetings, etc.)
- Inculcate Lean Culture across the teams. Facilitate, mentor projects and drive for Lean Green Belt Certification and
- Lean Journey at Flex.
Qualification & Requirements
- Graduate in Science, MBA preferred,
- Experience 7-10 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain
- Any Global Supply Chain certification
- Preference from a manufacturing or EMS background
- Lean Green Belt or 6 Sigma certified preferred
- Hands-on knowledge on ERP like Baan, SAP
- Platforms like Ivalua (aQuire) is added advantage
