Description
The Manager, GBS – Global Project Management will lead and oversee a portfolio of global projects within KH INDIA GCC PRIVATE LIMITED’s Global Business Services (GBS) division. This role is responsible for driving project success from initiation to closure, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and effective stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple complex global projects simultaneously, encompassing various GBS domains such as finance, HR, IT, and supply chain.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, resource allocation, and budget.
- Define and track project milestones, dependencies, and critical paths, proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues.
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels with all project stakeholders, including senior leadership, GBS teams, business units, and external vendors.
- Facilitate regular project status meetings, prepare detailed reports, and provide transparent updates on project progress, challenges, and resolutions.
- Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Implement and adhere to established project management methodologies and best practices (e.g., Agile, Waterfall), ensuring consistency and quality across projects.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the GBS project management framework, seeking opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Identify and implement appropriate project management tools and software to optimize project execution and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and data privacy standards throughout project delivery.
- Conduct post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions to capture insights and apply them to future projects.
Qualification & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Technology, or a related field. PMP or PRINCE2 certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in project management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role, specifically managing global projects within a GBS or shared services environment.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, cross-functional projects on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of various project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and experience in applying them effectively.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate diverse project teams in a global setting.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana, Trello).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) is a plus.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
