Manager, GBS – Global Project Management

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple complex global projects simultaneously, encompassing various GBS domains such as finance, HR, IT, and supply chain.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, resource allocation, and budget.
• Define and track project milestones, dependencies, and critical paths, proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues.
• Establish and maintain effective communication channels with all project stakeholders, including senior leadership, GBS teams, business units, and external vendors.
• Facilitate regular project status meetings, prepare detailed reports, and provide transparent updates on project progress, challenges, and resolutions.
• Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Implement and adhere to established project management methodologies and best practices (e.g., Agile, Waterfall), ensuring consistency and quality across projects.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the GBS project management framework, seeking opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Identify and implement appropriate project management tools and software to optimize project execution and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and data privacy standards throughout project delivery.
• Conduct post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions to capture insights and apply them to future projects.

Qualification & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Technology, or a related field. PMP or PRINCE2 certification is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in project management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial role, specifically managing global projects within a GBS or shared services environment.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, cross-functional projects on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of various project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and experience in applying them effectively.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate diverse project teams in a global setting.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana, Trello).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) is a plus.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
