Description

Manage and guide the overseas finance team and shared service team in financial close processes, ensuring the accurate and timely processing, recording, and reporting of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial information in compliance with financial reporting standards and Group reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review company level financial statements, including accruals, deferrals, and reclassifications, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Review consolidated group financial statements and other supporting schedules and listings required by the Group.
  • Prepare and present reviews and analyses of monthly and quarterly statutory financial reports.
  • Investigate and resolve intercompany differences and ensure accurate bank reconciliations.
  • Oversee the annual financial audit process and ensure the completion of annual audited financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with tax filing deadlines, audits, banking and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate and liaise effectively with external auditors, banks, and government authorities to ensure smooth operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement by streamlining and standardizing work processes and system enhancements.
  • Provide recommendations to ensure best practice in financial accounting.
  • Assist with compilation of financial information for preparation of annual budgets and forecast financial information.

Qualification & Requirements

  • 8 to 12 years of relevant experience with exposure to group consolidation, preferably with prior Big 4 experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or Finance. Certified CA/CPA qualified preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and accounting/group consolidation knowledge.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet dynamic business requirements and tight reporting timelines.
  • Proficiency in SAP and a strong understanding of financial systems and processes.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and develop team members and work across multi-cultural/multi-functional team.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin
