Description
Manage and guide the overseas finance team and shared service team in financial close processes, ensuring the accurate and timely processing, recording, and reporting of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial information in compliance with financial reporting standards and Group reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Review company level financial statements, including accruals, deferrals, and reclassifications, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Review consolidated group financial statements and other supporting schedules and listings required by the Group.
- Prepare and present reviews and analyses of monthly and quarterly statutory financial reports.
- Investigate and resolve intercompany differences and ensure accurate bank reconciliations.
- Oversee the annual financial audit process and ensure the completion of annual audited financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with tax filing deadlines, audits, banking and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Coordinate and liaise effectively with external auditors, banks, and government authorities to ensure smooth operations.
- Drive continuous improvement by streamlining and standardizing work processes and system enhancements.
- Provide recommendations to ensure best practice in financial accounting.
- Assist with compilation of financial information for preparation of annual budgets and forecast financial information.
Qualification & Requirements
- 8 to 12 years of relevant experience with exposure to group consolidation, preferably with prior Big 4 experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or Finance. Certified CA/CPA qualified preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and accounting/group consolidation knowledge.
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet dynamic business requirements and tight reporting timelines.
- Proficiency in SAP and a strong understanding of financial systems and processes.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and develop team members and work across multi-cultural/multi-functional team.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin
