Description
OSU Campus: Stillwater
Department: Cloud and Infrastructure Services
Work Schedule: 8 am – 5 pm
Key Responsibilities
- The Deputy Director will oversee a service-oriented department designed to assist the OSU/A&M System constituents in achieving their goals and objectives through the effective use of technology.
- This position oversees the operations of the System Administration group for the Stillwater and Tulsa campuses as well as services extended to seven other campuses within the OSU/A&M System.
- The Deputy Director collaborates with the Department’s Director, IT’s Leadership team, the A&M CIO, managers and technical staff in the operational and academic areas on joint projects and shared services. Drives operational effectiveness and efficiency.
- Focuses on growing and transforming the business. Collaboration efforts include but are not limited to project planning, service delivery, product evaluation, defining expense cost shares, security reviews, and policy.
Qualification & Requirements
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing with clear, grammatically correct English. Requires interaction with supervisors, colleagues, students, using tact, discretion, and independent judgement.
- Position requires the incumbent to own a computer and have internet access with the ability to work remotely, should a departmental need arise.
- Periodically, this position requires work after normal office hours and requires continual availability by cellular device. The incumbent’s rate of pay includes compensation to apply toward the use of their personal cellular device.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.
- Five years related work experience in information technology or related field including experience in any of the following roles: Director, Deputy Director, CTO, Manager.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in IT or related field.
- Preference for Higher Education experience and knowledge of current OSU information technology systems.
- Certification in Project Management and ITIL Foundations.
