In Deloitte’s Human Capital practice, we help our clients exploit new technologies, reduce costs and improve operating effectiveness through process improvements, shared services, outsourcing and employee self-service, by helping them drive the value this delivers and help the business achieve its strategic objectives in performance and growth. Our Payroll Operations Team helps align the needs and priorities of the client organization with those of its workforce, while ensuring the long-term success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
As aPayroll Strategy and Operate Senior Manager, you should expect to be involved in the following:
- Guiding clients to analyze the current state of the payroll processes, while helping them identify pain points and offering possible solutions
- Advising clients on technology options that can help them improve their overall Payroll function while leveraging available automation and GenAI tools and capabilities
- Demonstrating your leadership experience, being self-accountable to the outputs of the team
- Taking responsibility for leading teams, delivering work and designing the work effort
- Emerging business advisor, Project/Workstream Manager, Leader of others, sales support.
- You will be a key member of our leadership team which means you will be required to help with the strategic planning and growth of our practice by actively participating in the sales process.
- You will also provide input into how to best select, develop and grow our people.
Qualification & Requirements
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 8+ years of related experience in Payroll operations and sales
- 8+ years of Consulting experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience leading requirements gathering workshops or facilitating meetings
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience participating in the vendor selection process (client and supplier sides) including RFPs, RFIs, scoring and evaluating products and services
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience leading teamsin the full lifecycle of projects including Business Analysis, Functional Specification, System Configuration, Design, Testing
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience with payroll software products such as ADP, UKG (formerly UltiPro), Workday, Oracle Cloud, or SAP/SuccessFactors and system infrastructure
- Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectorsyou serve
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
Preferred
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with global fortune 500 firms
- Minimum of 8 years of experience working with HR and/or Workforce Management (WFM) payroll functions and processes, with a strong understanding of business needs and challenges while demonstrating strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience developing and mentoring junior staff members
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience interacting at all levels within a client organization
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Visio and PowerPoint, with at least 2 years’ experience creating advanced Excel models (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis) and developing client-ready PowerPoint presentations for executive-level audiences.
