As a valued member of the global Human Resources Leadership Team, the HR Director, Transformation Management Office (TMO) is a trusted advisor and thought partner to business leaders across the global enterprise.

HR Director, Global Transformation Office

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the VP, Global Transformation as strategic business and human resource leader
  • Support achievement of overall business objectives through the implementation of effective HR strategy, programs, practices, policies, and tools
  • Be a change agent in the design & deployment of HR transformational initiatives, including the implementation of systems, process improvements and training to enable an employee and manager self-service environment
  • Develop and implements organizational structure and alignment recommendations linked to business strategy
  • Lead / coordinate HR due diligence and integration activities for site consolidation, closure, start-up, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, etc.
  • Help the business ensure there is a continuing talent pool of skills and leadership available to drive the business. Including providing direction and leadership in succession planning, training, talent development and performance management
  • Develop, recommend, and implement initiatives, policies, procedures, and employee feedback tools designed to promote and monitor a positive employee culture
  • Ensure company values and principles are sustained and take a lead role in fostering a healthy work environment
  • Develop and deliver operational and process improvement programs that lead to a more lean and efficient business, and works as part of cross-functional project teams to develop HR policies and procedures that drive business growth, profit, and cost containment objectives
  • Create organizational capacity for change, leading and sponsoring programs that promote organizational flexibility and effectiveness
  • Ensure the company follows all applicable legislation regarding labor relations, employee relations, employment, employee benefits, safety, compensation, and other employee related matters

Qualification & Requirements

  • Experience of working in a transformational environment, particularly with HR transformation programs
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills gained within a matrix operating environment
  • Experienced and knowledgeable business acumen
  • Proven problem solving skills
  • Superior people, oral/written/listening communication skills
  • Strong organizational and strategic planning skills
  • Proactive, finds ways to do things, not reasons why things can’t be done business approach
  • Change Management – Builds commitment and overcomes resistance
  • Cost Consciousness – Contributes to profits and revenue; Conserves organizational resources and manages within defined expense budgets
  • Ethics – Treats people with respect; Works with integrity and ethically; Upholds organizational values
  • Organizational Support – Follows policies and procedures
  • Travel: ~50%
  • Spanish language fluency is highly desirable, as are other languages

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline
  • Recommend 5+ years professional experience in manufacturing or related field. Recommend 5 years HR management experience or applicable experience managing a Human Capital Strategy
  • Experience managing multiple locations
  • Experience in managing a virtual team
  • Experience supporting due diligence and integration M&A activity preferred but not required
  • Excellent Business Acumen
  • Experience with salaried and hourly hiring and downsizing efforts
  • Business focused and results oriented with a bias for action
  • Adaptable and comfortable in a fast changing, matrix management environment
  • Strong, clear communicator
  • Strong leadership courage, authoritative and decisive when needed
  • Politically astute and strong influencing skills
