Description

As Head of Transactional Procurement , you will assume responsibility for all procurement-related purchase-to-pay activities , accounts payable and data management, as well as reporting and digital IT support throughout Germany. You will focus on further developing the performance of transactional procurement in Germany, working closely within a matrix organization with the other purchasing teams and operational stakeholders in the German organization, as well as close coordination and support from the global organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establishment and development of a decentralized transactional purchasing team:
    • Implementation and development of all transactional purchasing activities for ENGIE in Germany
    • Consideration of interfaces to other teams for efficient process design and improvement
    • Further development of purchasing performance in cooperation with the global organization
  • Leading and supporting the team in the following tasks:
    • Implementation of the procurement process
    • Management of purchasing master data (suppliers, contracts, catalogs)
    • Creation of reports and KPIs
    • Compliance with SLAs and KPIs

Qualification & Requirements

  • Completed degree in economics or comparable qualification
  • Many years of experience in the optimization and digitalization of purchasing processes as well as leadership experience (disciplinary and technical) in a matrix organization
  • Experience in managing automation and digitalization projects and in the transformation of organizations is desirable
  • Strong communication skills and assertiveness
  • Economic thinking and action as well as a strategic and goal-oriented way of working
  • Willingness to travel throughout Germany
  • Fluent German and English skills
