Head of Shared Services – Finance

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy:

• Develop and execute the strategy for Finance Shared Services to support the agency’s objectives and growth plans.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team specializing in AP, AR, Tax, and Consolidations.

Accounts Payable (AP):

• Oversee the AP function to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
• Implement best practices for AP processes, including vendor management, payment approvals, and reconciliation.

Accounts Receivable (AR):

• Manage the AR function to optimize cash flow and minimize days sales outstanding (DSO).
• Develop and enforce credit policies, invoicing processes, and collections strategies to improve customer payments.

Tax Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations, including VAT, GST, and corporate income tax.
• Lead tax planning initiatives and work closely with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure accurate reporting.

Financial Consolidations:

• Oversee the consolidation of financial statements across multiple entities to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Implement and maintain financial reporting frameworks that align with global standards.

Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency in finance operations, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for AP, AR, Tax, and Consolidations.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with senior management and cross-functional teams to align finance operations with business objectives.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders to foster collaboration and transparency.

Qualification & Requirements

• Working overseas with previous experience in the UK or USA markets
• 10+ years of experience in finance shared services management, with a focus on AP, AR, Tax, and Consolidations.
• Proven track record of leading finance teams and implementing best practices in financial operations.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, reporting standards, and tax compliance.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
