Description
BGIS is seeking a visionary Head of Shared Services – Finance to lead the transformation of our Finance Shared Services function.
Managing a team of 30 and reporting to the VP Finance, you will oversee end-to-end finance operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Location: Sydney or Adelaide | Hybrid (3 days in office / 2 days WFH)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead & Inspire – empower and develop a 30-strong team, building a high-performance culture.
- Drive operational excellence through process standardization, automation, and technology enablement.
- Oversee compliance, internal controls, and risk management frameworks.
- Partner with global and regional finance teams to deliver a consistent service model.
- Establish and monitor KPIs, SLAs, and governance frameworks to ensure accountability and quality.
- Act as the escalation point for complex issues, ensuring timely resolution and client satisfaction.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement and service excellence.
Qualification & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related discipline (CPA/CA/CIMA desirable).
- 10+ years’ finance leadership experience, with 5+ in shared services/global business services.
- Proven experience leading large teams and driving transformation.
- Strong expertise in finance operations, compliance, and internal controls.
- Hands-on ERP/automation knowledge (SAP, Oracle, Workday, RPA, AI).
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and change management skills.
