Description

You will be responsible for managing and optimizing payroll across the entire group and will lead a team that is undergoing an exciting phase of development. Your focus will be on efficiency, quality, and the gradual development of modern, digital HR processes. This requires a hands-on mentality, a desire to shape things, and the ability to inspire people.

Head of Shared Service Center Payroll

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and developing the payroll team in day-to-day operations – with the aim of improving structures and successfully introducing new processes
  • Responsibility for timely and error-free payroll accounting for all German companies in the SAP HR system as well as the coordination of international payroll accounting for our subsidiaries
  • Ensuring high billing quality and continuous optimization of processes against the background of efficient shared service structures
  • Technical and disciplinary management of a team of approximately 6 employees – with the aim of further developing collaboration and processes and promoting a modern, service-oriented way of working
  • Further development and optimization of SAP HR processes and systems
  • Responsibility for group-wide personnel cost planning and HR reporting with a focus on statistics, absences and fluctuation
  • Supporting digital transformation and further development of HR software
  • Contact person for official audits
  • Close cooperation with employee representatives on remuneration-related issues

Qualification & Requirements

  • Completed business studies or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional and management experience in payroll accounting, ideally in a shared service organization
  • Sound knowledge of labor, social security and tax law
  • Very good knowledge of SAP HR; experience with REXX is an advantage
  • The ability to motivate people even in challenging situations
  • Hands-on mentality and strong service and solution orientation
  • Analytical, structured and independent working style
  • Fluent German and good English skills
  • Confident use of MS 365, especially Excel
