Description
This role will lead the Shared Services Management Team as the intelligent customer, working with functional leads to ensure an efficient and effective service is provided by UKSBS. The role will also be key in ensuring the future service delivered through the clustering programme (Matrix) meets the needs of our users whilst continuing to improve services in the here and now.
Key Responsibilities
- Stakeholder engagement and management – quickly build trust and credibility through effective relationships, working collaboratively and providing effective challenge to drive forward exceptional service delivery with UKSBS.
- Leadership – provide visible and strong leadership for ICS, engaging stakeholders and creating the right conditions to support effective delivery, especially in relation to UKSBS Sponsorship and how we support an Intelligent Client Function for the future. Lead owners through UKSBS funding arrangements including Business Planning, mid-year true up and Cost to Serve model.
- Communications – with a range of stakeholders including owners of UKSBS, Ministers, subject matter experts and end users, delivering compelling and consistent messages to ensure support and buy-in. Work together with the communications teams in shared services and matrix to create engaging messages and content.
- Delivery – manage the change process in an operational environment, working with subject matter experts to ensure changes are agreed and understood across all impacted parties. Work as senior client stakeholder on major high risk / reputational projects across government which require the shared services delivery body to deliver services.
- Performance Management – Lead performance reviews and ensure clients are engaged in the performance review process. Work with functional areas to challenge and improve shared service user experience.
- Shared Services Delivery – Identify and drive improvements across all areas of shared service delivery. Provide Service and UKSBS Transformation subject matter expertise into Matrix programme
Qualification & Requirements
If you can easily demonstrate the following, ideally within a digital/technology environment we’d love to hear from you:
- Shared Services Management
- Significant experience in shared services, change programs and continuous improvement. We are ideally looking for someone who has this experience covering multiple disciplines in particular HR, Digital and Finance.
- Qualifications in change management and or continuous improvement would be advantageous.
- Excellent leadership abilities that inspire confidence and gain credibility across a wide range of stakeholders.
- Outstanding communication and influencing skills to drive continuous improvement opportunities.
- Wealth of experience using initiative to work through problems, anticipate challenges, and ensure successful delivery, if this includes on and offboarding of clients this would be advantageous.
- Highly organised, with the ability to quickly understand and assess issues, set direction, and lead others to drive performance improvements across people, processes, and technologies in a structured manner.
- Proven strong financial acumen to support financial controls and decisions across a significant budget allocation.
