Description

A global professional services organisation is seeking a Head of Record-to-Report (R2R) to join the leadership team of their Finance Shared Services function. The organisation is at the early stages of a long-term enterprise finance and technology transformation, that includes the set up of a Finance Shared Services function. This senior position, reporting to the Director of Finance Shared Services, will play a crucial role in leading the organisation’s finance transformation initiatives and establishing enterprise-wide R2R capabilities.

Head of Record to Report (R2R)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the R2R team, overseeing end-to-end financial accounting and reporting activities.
  • Drive the establishment and management of enterprise-wide R2R processes.
  • Ensure accurate P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow reporting.
  • Manage period close processes and financial reporting.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and internal controls.
  • Support the R2R GPO, finance transformation projects and ERP implementation.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
  • Experience in shared services leadership, particularly in R2R processes, in an international business.
  • Experience managing local and/or international teams of 30+ people.
  • Track record of leading teams through significant organisational change.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills at all levels.
  • Experience in driving process optimisation and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix organisation.
  • Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
