Description
As Head of Procurement you will lead the procurement function for the specific spend area Digital and Business Services. In order to maximize the value from supply markets and bring process efficiencies and saving measures to Eneco. Hereto translates and implement strategic business objectives into procurement strategic objectives and initiatives. Responsible for the realization of these procurement strategic objectives and initiatives both for the own area as for the whole procurement function. The Development and realization of the procurement plans and objectives enabling the Value Chain, Vertical and Function’s strategies, targets and objectives. Hereto you find alignment and decision making among a large and varied group of internal and external stakeholders through influencing and persuasion, both in the Netherlands and other countries. You are member of the Procurement Management Team contributing to the strategic development of the procurement function of Eneco Group and the function’s performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy and vision: You provide strategic direction in perspective to the multiple complex categories of spend including indirect ones that have a significant to large mid-to-long term impact on Eneco’s financial and operational performance, including the international activities. You contributes to the development of Eneco Group procurement strategy and policies;
- Performance: You define and realize procurement plans on Digital and Business Services aligned with the organization’s management, cost saving measures, process improvements and sustainable solutions contributing to reaching Eneco’s strategic and financial objectives in a continuous improvement way and defines and realizes procurement objectives. You evaluate periodically and adjusts where needed based on management reports, performance indicators and relevant internal and external developments. You take care for solutions with your Procurement Team for the stakeholders within the Verticals and Value Chains and Functions;
- People: You manage a team of about 10 professionals. You hire, retain, lead, coach, develop, motivate and evaluate (new) procurement professionals for the spend area. Assigns and coordinates the procurement professionals across categories of spend. Set standards for the spend area how work is done in alignment with other business processes. Identifies relevant internal and external developments and requirements for the spend area regarding knowledge and expertise, quality and processes, and translates these into capability development plans for the spend area;
- Stakeholder management and supplier management: As Head of Procurement Digital & Business Services you are strong in stakeholder management. Align with a complex field of stakeholders among which management of the different verticals, value chains and functions. Build, develop and unlock the relevant internal and external network for within the Eneco Group, in the Netherlands as well as in the foreign entities. Represent the spend area with suppliers and other external stakeholders and represents Eneco strategy and policies;
- Risk management: You identify (potential) risks in the execution of procurement processes and takes responsibility for execution and monitoring of risk policies and legislation related to the specific contracts and suppliers in the spend scope of the team of Digital & Business Services.
Qualification & Requirements
- Academic work and think level with a minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement or other commercial leadership roles;
- At least 8 year experience with source-to-pay processes, including digitalization, standardization and optimization;
- At least 5 years of proven experience in developing, implementing, and aligning improvement and change projects;
- Drive the change: highly developed change and transformation skills, highly effective and structured way of working and embrace change;
- Deliver the plan: Organizational sensitivity, excellent stakeholder management skills and collaborative skills;
- Make each other successful: At least 5 years’ experience as a People manager with proven leadership in building connected and inclusive teams. Trustworthy and a team player fostering cooperation;
- Excellent communication and listening skills, high developed organizational sensitivity;
- Excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written, is essential for this position.
