Description
We are currently representing a leading global Financial Services firm in the appointment of high-calibre professionals as part of a period of strategic growth and investment.

We are seeking a senior operational leader to establish and scale a strategically important European delivery hub, forming a core part of a global operating model. Reporting to the COO, this role will take full ownership of building and leading a high-performing, multi-functional service centre, while shaping and delivering a globally integrated service delivery framework.
This is a hands-on leadership position combining centre build, operational execution, and global delivery design. The successful individual will play a key role in translating broader transformation initiatives into a scalable, efficient, and high-quality operational reality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end setup and scaling of a European service centre, including location strategy, operating model, and service scope
- Build and lead a multi-functional team, ensuring strong hiring, capability development, and performance culture
- Design and implement a global service delivery model, defining how services are structured and delivered across regions
- Own operational delivery, ensuring performance against quality, efficiency, and cost targets
- Establish KPIs and governance frameworks to drive productivity and continuous improvement
- Oversee the migration and integration of services into the new centre, ensuring minimal disruption and high-quality outcomes
- Partner with senior stakeholders to align operational delivery with broader business strategy and transformation initiatives
- Identify opportunities for standardization, automation, and efficiency across processes
Qualification & Requirements
- Significant experience in operational leadership within shared services, global business services, or complex delivery environments
- Proven track record of building and scaling service centres, ideally within Europe
- Strong understanding of global delivery models and multi-location operations
- Demonstrated ability to lead large, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
- Commercial mindset with focus on efficiency, cost optimisation, and performance improvement
- Experience driving operational transformation, including process improvement and service migration
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels
- Hands-on, execution-focused leader with the ability to translate strategy into delivery
