Description

We are looking for an experienced Regional HR & Payroll Leader to join our Global HR Operations, Payroll and Systems team. This role is responsible for leading a team that delivers high‑quality, customer-focused HR support to employees around the world, while managing payroll services for countries using Workday through existing outsourced partnerships.

You will oversee HR lifecycle events—including performance management cycles, employee engagement surveys, annual review processes—as well as key HR communications and Workday compliance. You will build strong partnerships with HR Business Partners, Country HR teams, and Centres of Excellence.

Key Responsibilities

People Leadership

  • Coach, mentor, and lead the global HR Operations team.
  • Drive a culture of operational excellence and customer-focused service.

HR Operations & HR Lifecycle

  • Manage HR lifecycle events including Performance Management, Staff Surveys, and Annual Review cycles.
  • Oversee HR communications and maintain the global HR portal and knowledge documentation.
  • Provide support for complex HR inquiries.

Payroll Leadership

  • Ensure employees are paid accurately and on time for each pay cycle.
  • Manage payroll operations across Asia and EMEA in partnership with external vendors.
  • Support payroll-related inquiries and ensure compliance.

Process Ownership & Improvements

  • Serve as the HR and Payroll Subject Matter Expert for key processes and projects.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including HR system enhancements (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Maintain global HR policies and support change management initiatives across the business.

Knowledge & Document Management

  • Build and maintain HR Knowledge Base articles in ServiceNow.
  • Manage HR portal content and documentation frameworks.
  • Support the establishment of knowledge frameworks for future AI agent integration.

Qualification & Requirements

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Strong team leadership with the ability to inspire and develop others.
  • Proven capability managing end-to-end tasks and diagnosing customer needs.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Comfortable engaging with senior executives and providing guidance on HR processes.

Experience & Knowledge

  • Experience in HR Operations, HR Shared Services, or Payroll.
  • Strong understanding of HR systems, processes, and payroll operations.
  • Familiarity with generating HR reports, dashboards, and analysing workforce data is an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of Workday and ServiceNow is beneficial.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or related field (desired but not essential).
