Description
As Pinnacle Pet Group continues to grow, we are seeking a Head of People Operations to join our People team.
The Head of People Operations will lead the design and implementation of a People Shared Service model across the UK and Europe. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our People function, driving operational excellence, system transformation, and continuous improvement.
This role will be employed by Animal Friends. Animal Friends is part of the Pinnacle Pet Group (PPG) – a pan European fully integrated pet insurance and pet health services provider.
Location / Package: This role is remote, with some travel to London and Europe. We offer competitive remuneration, 24 days holiday (plus your birthday as an additional day off), life assurance, pension, private medical insurance, and a range of employee benefits!
Key Responsibilities
- Shared Services: Design and implement a unified People Shared Service model across UK and Europe, aligning processes, service standards and defining the operating models, responsibilities and knowledge base.
- Systems & Technology: Lead the transition to a single HR platform (likely Workday) including functionality and integration, enhancing self-service and automation and artificial intelligence.
- Data & Insights: Ensure data accuracy and governance, delivering meaningful reporting and insights.
- People Admin & Payroll: Oversee all People administration (including contracts, onboarding, changes, learning administration and benefits) and upstream payroll processes, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation through AI, automation, and smarter workflows.
- Governance & Risk: Maintain compliance with Financial Conduct Authority and data protection regulations, managing risks and audit requirements.
- Leadership: Lead a remote team across multiple geographies, fostering collaboration, capability, engagement and accountability within the team.
Qualification & Requirements
Our wish list of your previous experience
- Senior leadership experience in People Operations in a multi-entity organisation.
- Proven background in building or embedding a shared service model.
- Experience leading both strategic initiatives and operational delivery.
- Familiarity with Kronos, Sage, Workday and experience of leading system transitions.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes and data governance.
- Demonstrated ability to lead remote teams.
- Experience using technology and artificial intelligence to improve service delivery and efficiency.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication capability.
Desirable
- Experience working across European entities.
- Experience in a regulated environment such as financial services.
- Fluency in French or German would be a strong advantage.
