Head of People & Culture ( Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and lead the local people strategy aligned with the company’s global objectives and the specific needs of the Tech Hub/COE.
  • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure effective hiring strategies, seamless onboarding, and a strong employer brand in the KL market.
  • Employee Experience & Engagement: Create and sustain a high-performing, inclusive, and engaged workplace culture.
  • Leadership Development: Coach and support people managers, driving capability building and leadership growth.
  • Performance & Talent Management: Lead performance management cycles, talent reviews, and succession planning within the Tech Hub/COE.
  • Retention & Development: Implement strategies to retain key talent and nurture career progression across teams.
  • HR Operations & Compliance: Oversee core HR functions, ensuring adherence to local employment laws, policies, and practices.
  • Organizational Development: Support ongoing structural and process evolution to meet business needs.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as the key point of contact for regional and global People partners, aligning efforts and sharing insights.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • HR certification (e.g., CIPD, SHRM) is a plus.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in a senior HR leadership role, ideally within a scaling or regional tech hub or shared service environment.
  • Deep understanding of Malaysia’s employment landscape and HR best practices.
  • Experience in building HR strategies across recruitment, development, retention, and engagement.
  • Strong influencing, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate both strategically and tactically.
  • Experience in fast-paced, high-growth or Tech/COE/global business services environments preferred.
