Description
You manage the Payroll Services department (approx. 170 employees) and lead three department heads. You and your department are responsible for processing payroll and employee data administration (EDA) services in a shared service center for Deutsche Post AG. In total, your employees ensure payroll accounting for around 220,000 colleagues from the group. Your employees are spread across three locations (Dortmund, Freiburg, Rostock). You report directly to the Managing Director of HR Services Germany and are part of the management team there.
Key Responsibilities
- Management and further development of the Payroll Services department DPAG
- Implementation of suitable digitization measures and automation in close coordination with our business partners in the group, the management, and the departments involved within our branch
- Initiation and driving of projects with a focus on optimizing quality, processes and services in partnership with other departments within our branch
- Further expansion of important stakeholder management
- Supporting a culture of modern leadership, constructive feedback and continuous improvement
- Implementation and living of the corporate strategy within the department
- Efficient personnel development and employee retention, including succession planning
- Constructive cooperation with the released works council member responsible for the department
- Ensuring compliance with HR policies and guidelines in line with uniform group regulations, compliance with legal provisions and ensuring high HR quality
- The head office of the department is in Dortmund (travel requirement approx. 50%), but alternatively the head office is in Cologne (travel requirement approx. 75%).
Qualification & Requirements
- Completed degree (Master, Diploma, State Examination or similar) in the field of business administration, economics or (business) informatics or comparable degree in a similar field
- Several years of management experience in comparable structures
- Extensive expert knowledge and several years of experience in managing cross-process and cross-departmental projects, particularly in the context of a shared service center
- Proven IT affinity, ideally with comprehensive knowledge and experience in the SAP HCM modules
- Experience in the operational implementation of process optimizations through automation and digitization, their further development and the necessary change process
- Dynamic personality with entrepreneurial, cross-process and service-oriented thinking and strong analytical and conceptual strengths
- Confidence and high social competence with enjoyment of working independently
- Personal responsibility and consistent process, service, goal and result orientation
- High level of negotiating skills and assertiveness
- First experiences in the field of change management
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills
- High level of empathy, social skills and the ability to work in a team, especially in virtual teams
- Professional appearance and high service orientation
- High level of commitment and above-average resilience with flexibility in terms of time and willingness to travel domestically on business
