Description
The Head of the IS Functional Technology Services oversees all technology solutions and services that enable business value delivered by ABB Corporate Functions specifically Finance, HR, Legal & Integrity and Sustainability (the customers). This includes managing shared ERP services and systems provided to both ABB Corporate Functions and the broader business.
The role reports to the Group CIO and partners with Corporate Functions, Business Areas, and IS (Information Systems) to develop and implement digital strategies. These strategies are executed through a carefully curated portfolio of technology solutions that maximize business value. Through the IS Service Domains, the Head of IS Functional Technology Services ensures effective, efficient and sustainable delivery of the IS Services in alignment with customer expectations and agreed-upon SLAs (Service Level Agreements). The role also requires proactively advancing technology modernization efforts based on the digital strategies set for each function, through a portfolio of programs and projects. Success in this role is achieved by leading cross-functional, customer-focused global teams, cultivating strong vendor relationships, and managing both internal and external stakeholders effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Co-creates the digitalization strategy for Core ABB functions and processes.
- Management of a large part of ABB IS organization, requiring excellent stakeholder management skills both internally and externally, considering different levels and perspectives.
- Accountable for delivering IS Services to customers and consumers (End-Users) within agreed budgets and specifications, ensuring customer satisfaction with the quality and scope of the services.
- Adherence to ABB Governance, Risk, Compliance and Security
- Establishing strong and effective relationships with IS Departments, strategic partners, vendors and customers
- New operating models, taking over and embedding end to end accountability and winning the trust of the key customers and the people that work in IS.
- Manage multiple, integrated vendor relationships
Qualification & Requirements
- 15+ years of relevant experience within global environments, including minimum 5 years of experience in a senior IS/IT leadership role connected to technology services â added advantage would be shared service experience.
- Experience in end-to-end Service Delivery, thorough understanding of industry Service Management standards
- Strategic leadership and ability to manage cross functional stakefunholders
- Very strong customer value mindset
- Strategic and tactical thinking with operational experience required
- High EQ including empathy as well as a strong problem solver required
- Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills
- Compliance and security knowledge and mindset
- Previous related business experience, allowing it to translate business needs into a strategic technology direction and IS service catalogue offering
