Description

The Head of Global Capability Center (GCC) in India will be a senior leader responsible for establishing, leading, and scaling the GCC operations for a regional bank headquartered in the USA. This leader will drive the strategic direction, operational excellence, and overall effectiveness of the center while ensuring alignment with the bank’s global objectives. They will focus on fostering innovation, enhancing operational efficiency, and building a high-performing, agile workforce to deliver critical business capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and implement the strategic roadmap for the GCC in alignment with the bank’s global objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for value creation through process optimization, automation, and innovation.
  • Build strong partnerships with key stakeholders across geographies to align priorities and deliver business outcomes.

Operational Management

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring delivery excellence across multiple business functions, including technology, operations, risk management, compliance, and analytics.
  • Ensure effective resource allocation, robust governance, and adherence to global and local regulations.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by leveraging data, metrics, and feedback.

Talent Development

  • Attract, develop, and retain top talent to build a world-class team.
  • Foster a high-performance culture emphasizing innovation, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the GCC.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to global and regional leadership, providing insights into the GCC’s performance and opportunities.
  • Facilitate seamless collaboration between the GCC and onshore teams to optimize workflows and decision-making.

Risk and Compliance

  • Ensure the GCC operates within the regulatory frameworks of India and adheres to the bank’s global risk and compliance standards.
  • Develop robust risk management frameworks to mitigate operational and reputational risks.

Financial and Performance Management

  • Drive cost efficiency and productivity improvements while maintaining high-quality service delivery.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring financial discipline and ROI on the GCC investment.

Qualification & Requirements

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in global operations, shared services, or capability center leadership roles, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
  • Proven experience in building, scaling, and managing large teams in a global or regional capacity.
