Head of Financial Shared Services

Key Responsibilities

Service Delivery & Performance

• Ensure FSSC services meet agreed service levels and business expectations.
• Oversee financial risk assessment and management across all FSSC functions.
• Continuously enhance Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General Accounting and product costing processes against key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Establish and maintain efficient, standardised service delivery documents, reports, business processes, and RACI charts.
• Optimise operational costs in line with a least-cost operating strategy.

Financial & Compliance Management

• Develop and manage project initiative budgets aligned with business objectives.
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end ledger closures.
• Maintain strict compliance with SLA criteria, audit standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Review and approve management reports, ensuring accuracy and timely issue resolution.

Audit & Risk Governance Control

• Develop and implement a robust internal controls, procedures, and documentation.
• Oversee the audit process, ensuring timely gathering and submission of required reports.
• Address audit queries and adjustments in collaboration with internal and external auditors.
• Ensure that all management actions are addressed and feedback provided.

Analytics & Continuous Improvement

• Build advanced analytics and reporting capabilities to enhance shared services value delivery.
• Drive training programs to ensure stakeholders are proficient in newly designed or updated processes and systems.
• Foster a strong organisational culture emphasising well-being
• Actively participate in governance meetings to ensure alignment with strategic goals.

Team Management

• Lead and develop teams, fostering collaboration and aligning objectives with business goals.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships, driving cross-functional alignment and delivering strategic business outcomes.
• Prioritise customer-centric solutions, ensuring customer needs shape decision-making and enhance experiences.

Qualification & Requirements

• A CIMA of CA qualifications
• A Post graduate qualification (MBA/MCom) will be advantageous
• A minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in senior management roles leading large teams, with demonstrable success in creating and driving effective delivery teams in multinational business environments. Manufacturing industry experience will be advantageous
• Experience in Financial technology systems, Business Operations services, Corporate services (i.e. Finance and Risk etc.), data & analytics will be an advantage
• Previous experience in leading a sizeable team across multiple platforms working for various lines of business within a Group
• Demonstrated experience in leading and delivering innovation and transformation programmes with previous experience in process improvement and quality frameworks
• Previous experience in independently managing a business unit/ business account, assuming responsibility for budgets, revenues, expenses, staffing, people development, etc.
