GBS Finance is a global financial service provider for Hydro, with teams across North America, Latin America, Europe, and India. The department focuses on developing best-practice accounting processes using market-leading tools, continuously innovating through the GBS Digital Finance.
GBS Finance works closely with business areas, IT teams, and group functions to meet current and future business needs, driving improvements in end-to-end financial processes.
The Head of Digital and Analytics in GBS Digital Finance is responsible for leading digital transformation within GBS Finance. This includes working closely with Global Process Owners (GPOs) to drive analytics initiatives and automation within the GBS Finance HUBs. The role focuses on enhancing digital capabilities, leveraging data analytics to support decision-making, and integrating advanced technologies to improve financial processes and outcomes. All initiatives must align with Hydro IT’s roadmap. This is a global role reporting to Head of GBS Digital Finance, GBS Finance, with team lead responsibility for 1-5 persons.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute digital transformation strategies for GBS Finance
- Lead the implementation of advanced analytics and data-driven decision-making processes
- Oversee the integration of new technologies to enhance financial operations and reporting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure digital initiatives align with business objectives
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
- Provide leadership and guidance to the digital and analytics team and co-workers in the GBS Digital Finance
Qualification & Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in digital transformation and analytics within the finance industry
- 5+ years of experience in the finance sector
- Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Relevant certifications in digital transformation and data analytics (preferred)
- Strong understanding of financial processes, data analytics, and digital technologies
- Proficiency in data analytics tools, financial software, and digital transformation methodologies
- Experience leading and managing teams
- Strong project management skills with experience in large-scale digital initiatives
- Proven ability to drive change and innovation within an organization
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in English
