Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out management tasks, being responsible for achieving goals and for personnel and material costs, reporting to the next management level and advising them
- Dealing with fundamental questions and developing concepts in finance and accounting
- Support and coordination of region-wide projects related to accounting, analysis of new requirements and organization of necessary measures
- Advising internal and external bodies, including auditors, internal audit, divisions, branches, banks and subsidiaries on business and tax issues
- Monitoring the preparation of financial statements and accounting, ensuring reporting to supervisory authorities such as BAFin and NBB
- Creation and monitoring of external and internal reporting
- Monitoring and responsibility for the management of the responsible shared service center for accounts payable, tax accounting, general accounting, ensuring the data quality of the outsourced processes
Qualification & Requirements
- Completed degree in economics with a focus on accounting, tax and auditing or comparable training
- Several years of professional experience in a comparable position
- Sound knowledge of IFRS, HGB and tax law
- Strong analytical skills and conceptual strength
