Description
Euroclear currently has a unique and exciting opportunity within the Group Business Solutions Division of our global IT organization, focusing on a key growth business line: Funds.
As Group Funds Tribe Lead, you will play a pivotal role in the GBS Leadership Team and manage the full life-cycle of the technology solutions that power our funds business. You will lead a diverse team to bring innovative services to market, whilst modernizing and maintaining our existing technology stack, ensuring full alignment with our business strategy.
From a technology standpoint, the Funds platform is a key milestone in our journey to cloud and is an opportunity to bridge funds business strategy and technology delivery, ensuring that our IT infrastructure supports the growth and success of our fund business unit.
The Funds Tribe has grown significantly and needs a strong leader to drive them. As Tribe Lead for Funds, you will act as a partner with your business counterparts, setting the direction and investments required to meet strategic objectives. You will also have direct accountability for the successful execution of project/programme delivery in collaboration with business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Funds Roadmap Manager
- Define and execute the IT Roadmap strategy for Funds in close collaboration with Architecture and the Funds business.
- Lead the provision of Funds technical services (change and run activities) to support the funds’ business strategy. This includes all new business solutions and the modernisation of legacy Funds IT applications, including the move to cloud.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with your clients, both internal and external.
- Oversee the successful and predictable delivery of change initiatives, staying within the agreed portfolio budget.
- Manage the risks (e.g., compliance, security, procurement/finance/licenses), issues, dependencies, and change control processes for the portfolio with a holistic and end-to-end approach.
Manage the Funds Tribe
- Lead and coordinate the tribe leadership team.
- Lead the IT integration of new funds companies acquired by the Group.
- Define and implement the skills matrix required for resilient service delivery and monitor its evolution.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with key external suppliers and partners.
- Manage the Tribe team career path and support their professional development.
- Manage Tribe team objectives and performance review.
- Provide leadership to the IT development team. Inspire and motivate the teams. Recognise and develop talent.
As an active member of the GBS Leadership team and the IT Leadership Extended management team, you will:
- Contribute to the definition of the strategy and transformation plan of the Division and drive its implementation.
- Take the lead or co-create with the management team on transversal topics for the Division and/or IT.
Qualification & Requirements
- At least 10 years’ experience in leadership positions, leading large fund IT tribes on fund platforms (preferred), fund managers, or software vendors specialised in funds services. Experience within organisations with a globally distributed, international, and multicultural environment is preferred.
- Strong business understanding (front-to-back funds life cycle management, mutual funds, ETFs, private equity funds, hedge funds, etc.). Able to set the strategic vision, direction, and standards for championing a best-in-class customer experience.
- Strong technical capabilities with deep knowledge of leading world-class IT teams in diverse technology areas – Cloud, data management, DevOps practices, and microservices architecture.
- A technical and architectural driven mindset, able to design, build, and maintain secure, resilient, sustainable, efficient, and performing platforms.
- Proven ability to manage the full application lifecycle on one of the major cloud service providers.
- Demonstrable examples of re-imagining/re-engineering legacy funds platforms.
- Experience overseeing large-scale teams and programmes, including large modernisations. Creating an efficient work atmosphere based on trust and resolving conflicts, you are able to move cross-functional groups in a unified direction as well as being able to move business executives and stakeholders.
- Strong communication, coaching, and negotiation skills. Effective and impactful communication skills are an absolute necessity. The Tribe Lead must be capable of conveying information and messages with clarity and precision.
- Good influencing skills – obtains approval of others with good arguments, appropriate influencing methods, and personal authority (persuasion).
- Agile leadership skills (certification is a plus). You are a likeable and approachable person who inspires trust and confidence in others who will readily give credit to your insights, judgments, and readily follow your directives.
- Interpersonal skills: A suitable candidate will also be a result-driven individual, highly creative, articulate, and analytical, a strategic thinker, able to work comfortably in a collaborative setting, comfortable working with business top leadership and executives, highly organised, able to work on multiple simultaneous projects and meet tight deadlines, and have an innate ability to remain patient, calm, and resilient during times of uncertainty and stress.
- Experience with outsourcing partners would be considered a real asset.
- As a key member of the management team, you can grow and take further responsibilities within the Division in the short term.
- You are fluent in English, both spoken and written.
