Description

Opportunity to work with Finance and Business leadership to Transform FLSmidth end to end global processes for P2P, O2C and R2R.

You will join a small team of Global Process owners based in our Global Business Center in Chennai, India. Main accountabilities center around driving end-to- end process optimization, by implementing continuous improvement initiatives, establishing a robust cross functional process governance framework, uplift process performance, compliance and reporting and play a pivotal role in transforming FLS Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash and Record to Report processes to Best in Class.

The role ensures global process standardization, leveraging intelligent automation, adoption of industry best practices generating a positive user experience and supporting end to end process compliance. Reporting line is to the Head of Global Shared Services Finance.

You will act as the Finance single point of contact for process improvement, design, policy alignment and process governance framework, working in tandem with upstream Business process owners, Finance counter parts and FLS 3rd party outsourcing process tower leads.

This role provides a platform for an experienced senior Global Process expert to expand your responsibilities over time and put your deep process expertise and change management skills to the test, by working in a cross functional matrix, allowing you to grow within a professional environment that values business acumen, collaboration and continuous learning and offers direct exposure to senior Finance and Business management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Co-Own global P2P, O2C, R2R processes, standards, and governance, ensuring operational excellence and quality frameworks. End to End ownership is based on a cross functional collaboration model
  • Owns the Continuous Improvement and Transformation roadmap on quick wins, structural process, automation, policy, and master data changes.
  • Drive performance improvements across cycle time, quality, timeliness, SLA and Process metrics and stabilise operations across ERPs and regions by addressing broken processes, workflows, exceptions, structured root-cause elimination, f.e:
    • P2P – invoice errors, vendor master issues, PO non‑compliance etc
    • O2C – billing errors, contract mismatches, disputes, inefficiencies in collection process etc
    • R2R – lack of timely, Quality P&L and Balance sheet submissions, Audit support
  • Influence stakeholders, benchmark performance/metrics against minimum industry standards, and execute action plans to close gaps and improve operational maturity.
  • Support enterprise wide change management projects, acquisitions and divestments

Qualification & Requirements

  • 15+ years in managing global P2P, O2C, R2R operations, gained in a global multinational company, ideally as a Global Process Owner
  • Strong track record stabilizing and improving low‑maturity processes.
  • Experience leading ERP-enabled transformation and large-scale standardization initiatives.
  • Relevant educational background (master’s in finance,business management, Certified Public Accountant)
  • Six Sigma certified professional (Green Belt/Black Belt) for performance improvement & digital problem solving
  • Deep P2P, O2C and R2R process expertise, covering both strategic design and operational problem-solving.
  • Strong governance and quality mindset, experience with setting minimum global standards and controls and establishing Global Process Governance frameworks.
  • Executive communication and influencing skills across multiple departments – Finance, Procurement, Sales, Supply Chain, Order Handling, IT
  • Structured, data-driven decision making, root‑cause analysis, KPI governance.
  • Change management capability
  • Digital enablement mindset ( ERP, RPA, OCR, workflows, collections tools, SRM/CRM, analytics, Reconciliation tools).
  • Hands-on experience with implementing Agentic, GenAI, Intelligent automation.
