Description

The Global Payroll & Shared Services Leader will provide payroll administration and HR support for our global business representing a workforce of 12,000 across 24 Countries.

Global Payroll & Shared Services Director

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible to build and motivate a team of payroll analysts, operations managers, and payroll vendors to ensure employees are paid accurately, on time, and in accordance with company policy and government regulations.
  • Create standard operating procedures for payroll administration and ensure payroll and timekeeping systems comply with company policy and all statutory requirements.
  • Develop strategy to drive operational performance and service excellence within the HR Shared Service team. Measure and improve performance against defined delivery and quality standards through harmonizing, automating and consolidating processes in support of HR strategic goals
  • Analyze, audit, reconcile, and resolve complex payroll administration and employee issues to ensure smooth payroll processing.
  • Ensures payroll reporting and payments are compliant with company policy, generally accepted accounting principles, and applicable regulations. Respond to auditing and regulatory inquiries
  • Research and interpret regulatory requirements and resolves tax, withholding, and garnishment issues for payroll processing.
  • Work with system programmers and third-party vendors to deliver payroll system solutions dependent on timekeeping, benefits and other providers
  • Monitor vendor performance against contractual obligations and pre-defined service level agreements.

Qualification & Requirements

Skills & Focus:

  • Focus on tactical activities with broad operational impact
  • In order to facilitate efficient collaboration and communication globally, English proficiency is a requirement
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures and best practices
  • Experience with HR information systems and technologies
  • Support work through matrixed employee teams and / or vendors who are not direct reports
  • Develops long term strategic relationships and alliances with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong financial acumen for strategic business alignment

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree and minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with 7+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with 7+ years of managerial experience.

Nice to Have:

  • Requires broad management and leadership capability, and detailed functional and operational expertise.
  • Focus on tactical, operational activities for a major program with broad or ongoing impact. Levels within the program management career stream typically accomplish program objectives through matrixed employee teams and / or vendors who are not direct reports but for which the incumbent has direct accountability to lead
