Global Order-to-Cash (O2C) & Ireland GBS Lead

Key Responsibilities

Global O2C Leadership

  • Process Ownership: Define, standardise, and continuously improve the end-to-end O2C process, including credit management, billing, collections, cash application, and dispute resolution.
  • Performance Management: Drive performance through data and metrics such as DSO, unapplied cash %, dispute cycle times, and CEI, ensuring targets are met globally.
  • Process Transformation: Lead automation and digitization initiatives using ERP (e.g., SAP) and digital finance solutions (e.g., HighRadius, BlackLine, Power BI).
  • Governance: Maintain robust control and compliance frameworks aligned with global accounting standards and internal audit requirements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with Commercial, Customer Service, and Tech to ensure seamless invoicing and payment experiences.
  • Team Leadership: Build and coach a high-performing global O2C team across captive and third-party delivery locations, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.

Ireland GBS Functional Leadership

  • Local Leadership Presence: Act as the senior finance leader for Wayfair’s Galway GBS site, where O2C is the primary operational function delivered.
  • Collaboration Across GBS: Partner closely with the Global P2P Process Owner and other global process leads to drive end-to-end Finance Operations excellence.
  • People & Culture: Lead, mentor, and develop Ireland-based teams, ensuring strong engagement, inclusion, and professional growth.
  • Operational Oversight: Ensure local delivery meets agreed service levels, control standards, and transformation objectives.
  • Representation: Serve as the senior on-site Finance representative for the GBS organization, promoting alignment, communication, and connection with global teams.
  • Change Leadership: Champion process improvement, automation adoption, and hybrid working evolution within the Ireland site.

  • Reports To: Head of Financial Operations & GBS
  • Partners With: Global P2P Process Owner, Regional Finance Operations Leads, and Global Transformation Teams
  • Scope: Global O2C Process Ownership; Ireland GBS Functional Leadership

Qualification & Requirements

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in finance operations or shared services, with deep domain expertise in Order-to-Cash processes.
  • Proven leadership of multi-region finance operations, including captive and outsourced delivery models.
  • Demonstrated success in process transformation, automation, and performance management.
  • Strong understanding of GBS frameworks, operational governance, and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean/Six Sigma preferred).
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a matrixed, global environment.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business; professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, MBA) preferred.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP or equivalent), analytics tools (Power BI), and O2C automation platforms.
