Description

As part of their ambitious growth strategy, the organization is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to establish and oversee its Indirect tax and technology framework. This newly created leadership role will report directly to the Head of Tax and play a key role in shaping the company’s Indirect tax strategy while fostering best-in-class innovation to future-proof the function.

Global Indirect Tax Director – Greenfield

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive indirect tax and tax technology strategy aligned with the company’s objectives.
  • Design and establish new indirect tax systems, processes, and policies, ensuring they are scalable and operationally robust.
  • Utilize advanced technology solutions to optimize tax compliance, reporting, and overall efficiency.
  • Provide expert indirect tax guidance to the tax team within the shared service center.
  • Identify and address indirect tax risks, ensuring adherence to globalregional, and national tax regulations and standards.
  • Lead the development and management of sustainability taxes and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the global compliance outsourcing partner to maintain compliance with indirect tax laws, including VAT, GST, sales taxes, and customs duties.

Qualification & Requirements

  • A professional tax qualification (tax law or tax accounting) with Big 4 training preferred.
  • A proven track record in Indirect tax and tax technology, ideally gained in an in-house setting.
  • Experience in establishing new tax functions or frameworks.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex tax concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • People management experience (preferred).
