Description

The Global Director, HR Business Operations is responsible for the operational management, advancement, and governance of Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) within the organization. They will help build out a team as part of a Shared Services organization creation for the Danaher enterprise. This role ensures effective daily management and continuous improvement of the Workday HCM technology solutions aligned with operational needs. The director will lead a team of professionals and collaborate with various departments to enhance HR processes and systems. This position is part of the Corporate HR Technology Operations organization and will be remote within the United States.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with HRIT to support the standardization, integration, and automation of enabling HR technology platforms, processes, and information management
  • Lead a team of Workday support technicians across differentiated tiered support levels to ensure the efficient and effective resolution of break/fix issues to full implementation projects
  • Support the HR Tech Operations leadership team with roadmap design and implementation of all Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions – including prioritizing Workday initiatives that align with organizational needs
  • Act as a strategic advisor/partner to Centers of Excellence and the Senior HRLT regarding Workday platform opportunities
  • Partner with HRIT to provide end-to-end Workday platform support including associated policies and vendors
  • Develop key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of Workday HCM and ROI on continued enhancements
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase effectiveness and efficiency

Qualification & Requirements

  • Minimum requirement of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Information Systems, Human Resources or related field of study.
  • Relevant experience in Workday HCM platform support and process management in a Shared Services operating environment as well as a thorough understanding and subject matter expertise of HR technology automation including manager/employee self-service, artificial intelligence (AI), and/or machine learning (ML) of Workday
  • Must be a self-starter with a solid understanding of HR corporate processes
  • Must be process-driven, data-driven, excellent organization, communication (oral and written), collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Must have global leadership experience, including knowledge and experience in multi-region management with the ability to adapt leadership style to influence different situations and people
