A multinational organization is seeking a seasoned finance leader to oversee their expanding GL Functional Tower operations within a global shared services environment. This role involves managing multiple functional areas, driving operational excellence, and leading transformation initiatives across regions.

GL Tower Lead/Director

Key Responsibilities

Functional Oversight

  • Lead and manage core R2R activities, including transaction recording and compliance activities
  • Financial close and reporting across multiple legal affiliates across regions
  • Remote financial control for entities without on-site finance teams
  • Tax-related accounting and intercompany transactions
  • Asset lifecycle management

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Oversee a large team, including managers and team leads
  • Foster a high-performance culture and drive employee engagement
  • Provide coaching and career development support
  • Act as a strategic partner to internal customers and business units
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial insights to support decision-making

Transformation & Process Improvement

  • Lead change initiatives to enhance efficiency, automation, and service delivery
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize processes and improve stakeholder experience

Qualification & Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; professional certification preferred
  • 18+ years of experience in shared services or multinational finance operations
  • Proven leadership of large teams and complex finance functions
  • Strong understanding of compliance, financial controls, and ERP systems
  • Experience in transformation and change management
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
