GL & IC Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading transition of new processes into the shared service center
  • Managing financial activities during Month End, Year End and the budget process
  • Ensuring timely, accurate and consistent financial reporting in compliance with both group and statutory accounting standards
  • Managing and revising workflow duties and direct inbound inquiries as needed
  • Ensuring that systems, policies, and procedures adhere to company policies while functioning with accuracy and timeliness
  • Standardizing procedures to generate efficiency in-house and create internal templates to be used by the company
  • Actively driving internal initiatives aimed at continuous process improvement and realizing efficiencies
  • Supporting key GL-related projects such as business integrations and system implementations/updates
  • Developing internal control procedures and provide up to date documentations (Work Instructions)
  • Performance assessment, coaching, training and development of the team members to improve individual and overall team productivity

Qualification & Requirements

  • 5-10 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
  • Preferably 2 years of management experience, preferably in managing Team Leads
  • University degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent accounting certification
  • Leadership qualities and the ability to mentor
  • Demonstrated experience and general knowledge of IFRS
  • Extensive experience in managing financial transactional activities
  • Previous experience in migration of processes and/or system implementation preferred
  • Experience of using enterprise systems preferred (e.g. IFS, SAP, Oracle)
  • Excellent English skills required, written and verbal
