Description

The Director of Shared Services provides leadership and oversight for the established Investor Relations, Treasury, and AML/KYC functions that support our fund clients. The purpose of this role is to ensure these teams deliver accurate, timely, and consistent services while maintaining strong controls and a high-quality client experience. This leader serves as the central coordination point across these functions, supporting issue resolution, driving operational clarity, and reinforcing standards without disrupting existing workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations for Investor Relations, Treasury, and AML/KYC teams.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of all investor onboarding, capital activity, statements, and investor communications.
  • Maintain strong treasury controls, including payment processing, bank account administration, and cash movement oversight.
  • Manage AML/KYC processes for investor onboarding and periodic reviews, ensuring compliance with regulatory and client requirements.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex investor, treasury, and due-diligence inquiries.
  • Review and maintain SOPs, workflows, and control frameworks to ensure consistency and operational quality.
  • Monitor team performance against established SLAs and KPIs, addressing issues proactively.
  • Partner with Fund Accounting and Client Service Directors to ensure seamless end-to-end service delivery.
  • Support audit requests and maintain readiness for internal and external audits.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to managers and analysts within Shared Services.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, accuracy, and responsiveness across the team.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA, CAMS) preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in financial services or fund administration, with at least 4 years in a leadership role overseeing multi-functional teams.
  • Deep understanding of Investor Relations, Treasury operations, and AML/KYC compliance within private equity, real estate, or alternative investment funds.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and industry best practices for investor onboarding, capital activity, and anti-money laundering requirements.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams across multiple disciplines.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience in resolving complex client and operational issues.
  • Exceptional communication skills to serve as the primary escalation point and coordinate across internal teams and external clients.
