Description

The Director for Finance Transformation will lead the strategic and operational delivery of a specialized function focused on finance transformation initiatives including process governance and project management with the Manila Global Service Centre (GSC). This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful design, execution, and optimization of global finance processes across the GSC and partner groups.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategic Oversight

  • Own end-to-end accountability for all finance transformation and process governance operational activities.
  • Translate organizational strategy into actionable transformation objectives and ensure alignment across global finance operations.
  • Serve as the primary escalation and decision point for transformation-related matters across GSC and partner entities.

Process Governance and Change Management

  • Review, design, implement, and maintain robust process governance frameworks for finance operations.
  • Monitor adherence to global finance policies and controls, and drive remediation of any governance gaps.
  • Execute transformation action items for various GSC Finance teams based on recommendations from third party consultants.

Project Management and Global Integration

  • Lead global operational projects including migrations, system deployments, and post-merger integrations.
  • Ensure timely onboarding of new processes and regions into the GSC operating model, with complete, accurate, and compliant accounting from Day 1.
  • Manage complex projects using structured methodologies, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.

Continuous Improvement and Control Environment

  • Identify and deliver opportunities for process optimization, automation, and risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate with Business Assurance (Internal Audit) and control owners to design metrics, dashboards, and remediation actions for control deficiencies.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to strengthen internal control frameworks and improve audit readiness.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a trusted partner to all key stakeholders, including Group Finance leaders, GSC Tower leads, Local Service Centres (LSCs), and external vendors or customers.
  • Represent the Transformation and Process Governance Tower in leadership reviews and decision-making forums; influence policy and strategic direction through data-driven recommendations.
  • Ensure process enhancements are communicated, accepted, and adopted across the organization.

People Leadership

  • Develop, coach, and empower a team of high-performing finance transformation professionals.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Create a rewarding environment where individuals can thrive, grow, and deliver exceptional value.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (CPA, CMA, MBA preferred).
  • At least 10-15 years of experience in finance operations, transformation, or shared services, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
  • Six Sigma certification is a huge plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills at all levels are a must.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale finance projects, systems implementations, or process migrations in a global environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial control frameworks, governance, and risk management principles.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with ability to communicate effectively across levels and geographies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate diverse, cross-functional teams.
  • Adaptability to work in a highly fast-paced environment with the ability to impact and deliver change will be key to success.
