Finance Shared Services Manager

Key Responsibilities

Leadership Team Management

  • Lead and mentor a diverse team of shared services professionals across various Finance areas (operations, financial control accounts payable) to ensure high performance and alignment with organizational goals
  • Establish clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback and manage team development through training
  • Foster a collaborative, high-energy work environment to promote employee engagement and retention

Operational Oversight

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of shared services functions, ensuring efficient and cost effective delivery across all regions
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.

Service Delivery SLA Management

  • Manage the delivery of shared services ensuring compliance with daily deadlines and Key Performance Indicators.

Process Improvement Automation

  • Lead process improvement initiatives, focusing on automation, digital transformation, and streamlining of operations.
  • Champion the use of new technologies or tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual workloads.

Act as a liaison between global team and regional teams, ensuring smooth communication and implementation of global strategies.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance or related field
  • Experience within the financial services industry desirable
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in shared services management or a similar role, with experience in Accounts Payable
  • Strong experience in managing multiple entities and business processes across multiple time zones
  • Experience in leading process improvements and automation projects in a shared services environment.
  • Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing cross-functional teams across regions.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills
  • Strong knowledge of shared services operations, service delivery models, and performance metrics.
  • Experience with SQL desirable
