Description

The Finance Shared Service Center (FSSC) Head will be responsible for overseeing and managing all financial shared service operations based in Manila, Philippines.

Key Responsibilities

This critical role will ensure the efficient and effective delivery of finance processes, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, treasury operations, trust accounts and financial reporting support for various Australian clients and internal customers within the insurance group. The FSSC Leader will drive operational excellence, process standardization, continuous improvement, and foster a high-performance team culture.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Master’s degree or professional certification CPA is required
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5-7 years in a leadership role within a large-scale Finance Shared Service Center or BPO, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and optimizing complex financial processes in a shared services environment
  • Strong understanding of insurance industry financial operations, including claims processing, policy administration, reinsurance, and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Extensive experience with financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday) and a strong aptitude for leveraging technology to drive process improvements.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop large teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of an organization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement
  • In-depth knowledge of internal controls and financial compliance frameworks
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
  • Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate global time zones as needed
