Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the newly established US GAAP Shared Services team.
- Oversee and complete the budgeting and forecasting requirements for the Corporate Shared Services entity in Malaysia.
- Assist in transferring work from other global locations to the US GAAP Shared Services team, ensuring smooth transitions.
- Manage and guide the team through the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations prepared by team members.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable global policies, including the Coherent Controllers Manual.
- Provide support to global Operations Controllers, offering reporting and analysis when needed.
- Lead and manage special projects as assigned by Corporate Shared Services leadership.
- Foster team engagement and ensure that performance standards are consistently met.
Qualification & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a Professional Certificate equivalent.
- 4-6 years of management experience in corporate finance (preferred).
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Ability to communicate effectively with global teams and partners.
- Ability to work outside of scheduled hours as this position reports directly to the Director of Global Shared Services in the US.
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, specifically Oracle E-Business Suite, is preferred.
- Language: Mandarin (Preferred)
- License/Certification: ACCA (Preferred)
